.

.

Minutes - Plan Commission
Public Hearing
Page 3
October 29, 1986

Mayor Majerus suggested a few additions to the Preface, the Special
Qualities section and the Basic Community Qualities section. Her
suggestions were noted by planning staff to be included in the final draft.
The Mayor expressed her appreciation for the concerns and opinions expressed
by those present and commended Mr. Goldman on a draft of the Plan which
accurately reflected current community needs and goals. Mr. Ollendorff
agreed with Mayor Majerus on the accurate insight the proposed Plan gave to
University City.

Commission members conveyed to planning staff some suggested corrections to
the Plan. Chairman Hamilton stated that he hoped the final draft of the
Plan could be ready for approval by the Commission at its next meeting of
November 12, 1986. At that time the Commission could pass a resolution
adopting the new Comprehensive Plan and send the document to City Council
for its approval. Chairman Hamilton thanked those present for the interest
they had expressed in the proposed plan.

The hearing was adjourned by the Chairman at 9:55 p.m.
