Mr. Washington seconded the motion which passed by a vote
of 6-0.

REQUEST TO CONSIDER APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT BY ATEC LIQUIDATIONS,
INC. - 6504 OLIVE BOULEVARD

Chairman Hamilton stated that Commission members were in receipt of the November
7, 1986, letter from Mr. Peter Fanchi, attorney for ATEC Liquidations, Inc.,
requesting that the Plan Commission consider ATEC's application for a conditional
use permit for outdoor parking and storage of motor vehicles at 6504 Olive
Boulevard. The application was tabled by the Commission at the October 22, 1986,
meeting. Chairman Hamilton also stated that just prior to this evening's meeting
Commission members received a letter from Mr. Fanchi detailing proposed
conditions which ATEC could fulfill to alleviate Commission members' concerns
regarding screening of the vehicles and potential security problems at 6504
Olive. ATEC proposed to limit the parking of trailers to the western 150 feet of
the property, landscape the eastern edge of the property with white pines or
similar evergreen material, keep trailers and gates to the property locked, and
prohibit parking on the northern edge of the property by owner or others. Mr. Al
Goldman, Director of Planning, asked Mr. Fanchi how wide the proposed landscaping
strip would be, what size pines would be planted and how they would be spaced. He
suggested that a landscaping plan would be helpful in analyzing the proposal.
