<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />January 28, 1987 <br /> <br />The City Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the E.O.C. Meeting Room <br />of City Hall on Wednesday, January 28, 1987, convening at 7:39 p.m. with <br />Chairman Esley Hamilton presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Votin~ Members Present: <br /> <br />Voting Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mary Cook <br />Esley Hamilton, Chairman <br />Matthew P. McCauley <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr. <br />Mary Schuman <br />Booker T. Washington <br /> <br />Michael Kennedy (excused) <br /> <br />Council Liaison: Joseph L. Adams, Jr. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Ollendorff, City Manager; Al Goldman, Director of Planning; <br />Sarah Elwood, Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. McCauley moved that the minutes of the November 12, 1986, meeting be <br />approved as submitted. Ms. Cook seconded the motion which passed by a vote of <br />4-0. <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT BY CFM MID-AMERICA, INC. - 7701. 7705. <br />7709 AND 7711 OLIVE BOULEVARD <br /> <br />Chairman Hamilton announced that CFM Mid-America, Inc. had withdrawn its <br />application for a Conditional Use Permit in order to construct a convenience <br />store and automobile filling station on the northwest corner of Olive <br />Boulevard and North and South Road. Therefore, the public hearing scheduled <br />for this meeting would not take place; there was no one present to speak to <br />the issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Washington arrived at 7:42 p.m. <br /> <br />PROPOSAL TO REZONE CERTAIN PROPERTIES LOCATED ON NORTH AND SOUTH ROAD. WARDER <br />AVENUE AND DONNE AVENUE FROM "SR" TO "PD" <br /> <br />Chairman Hamilton stated that Plan Commission members would now hear a <br />proposal by Mr. Torn Sommers and those associated with him regarding rezoning <br />certain properties on North and South Road, Warder Avenue and Donne Avenue <br />from "SR" to "PD" for purposes of developing a condominium project. The <br />Commission had rejected a similar proposal by Mr. Sommers in November but had <br />allowed him to return to the Commission with another request to rezone the <br />
