Private parking or storage of a truck not larger than six <br />thousand (6,000) pounds gross vehicle weight displaying a <br />valid Missouri license for a truck of that size is permitted <br />in the side yard of a lot containing a single-family dwelling <br />provided: <br /> <br />(a) There is no garage on the lot, and no vehicular access <br />can be provided to the rear yard; <br /> <br />(b) The truck is not a commercial motor vehicle; <br /> <br />(c) The truck does not exceed seven (7) feet in width, twenty <br />(20) feet in length or six and one-half (6-1/2) feet in <br />height, including camper tops or other modifications; <br /> <br />(d) The registered owner of the vehicle lives on the premises <br />where it is parked, and no members of the truck owner's <br />household own any other motor vehicles; <br /> <br />(e) The truck bed or cargo area is empty or completely <br />covered with opaque material; and <br /> <br />(f) Such parking takes place on a properly maintained and <br />properly drained pavement of concrete or blacktop with no <br />part of the truck overhanging the limits of the pavement. <br /> <br />6. Private parking or storage of a truck not larger than six <br />thousand (6,000) pounds gross vehicle weight displaying a <br />valid Missouri license for a truck of that size is permitted <br />in front of the building line on a lot containing a single- <br />family dwelling only if no access can be provided to a parking <br />area, carport or garage in a side or rear yard, or if no <br />location exists to construct such parking area, carport or <br />garage. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Ms. Kreishman and passed by a vote of 6-1. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION OF "PO"-PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT DESIGNATION <br /> <br />At the request of Chairman McCauley, Commission members reviewed their <br />individual and collective observations of a district delineated by the 1986 <br />Comprehensive Plan as being appropriate for the "PO"-Planned Development <br />designation in response to specific development plans. Members agreed that <br />the current "PO" development regulations were helpful in reviewing rezoning <br />applications and had no objections to the area designated for Planned <br />Development by the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
