<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />March 23, 1988 <br /> <br />The City Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the Emergency <br />Operations Center of City Hall on Wednesday, March 23, 1988, convening at <br />7:35 p.m. with Chairman Matthew P. McCauley presiding. <br /> <br />ATTENDANCE <br /> <br />Voting Members Present: <br /> <br />Matthew P. McCauley, Chairman <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr., Vice Chairman <br />Arnold J. Adams, Jr. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Ollendorff, City Manager; Al Goldman, Director of <br />Planning; Sarah Elwood, Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Rice moved that the minutes of the February 24, 1988, meeting be <br />approved as corrected. Mr. Marsh seconded the motion which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #219. LLOYD BUCHANAN DBA <br />CARRIBEN AUTO REPAIR. 1163 FERGUSON AVENUE <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley informed those present that the Plan Commission had <br />scheduled a public hearing on a request to amend Conditional Use Permit #219 <br />by Lloyd Buchanan dba Carriben Auto Repair in order to allow more than three <br />vehicles to be stored outside on the property at 1163 Ferguson Avenue over- <br />night. Chairman McCauley reviewed the criteria dictated by the Zoning Code <br />which must be satisfied in order for the Plan Commission to recommend approval <br />of the application. He further explained that the Plan Commission's findings <br />and recommendation on the application would be forwarded to the City Council <br />for their review. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley called on the applicant to present information on the <br />proposed amendment. Mr. S. M. Nuriddin informed the Comalssion that he was <br />appearing on behalf of the applicant, Lloyd Buchanan, and planned to present <br />the reasons why the request should be granted. Mr. Nuriddin stated that the <br />applicant requested allowance for six additional vehicles to be parked on <br />the premises of Carriben Auto Repair overnight. A total of nine vehicles <br />would be parked in marked spaces on the lot. The applicant would post signs <br />on the property stating that unauthorized vehicles parked on the lot after <br />4:30 p.m. each day would be towed. Mr. Nuriddin reviewed with Commission <br />
