.

.

Minutes - Plan Commission
Page 4
August 10, 1988

After further discussion, Ms. Kreishman moved that the Plan Commission
approve the final plat of the "Corvette Place" subdivision. The motion was
seconded by Mr. Rice. Chairman McCauley called for discussion on the
motion. He asked it there was any conflict between the proposed subdivision
and the golf course to the south. Mr. Ollendorff indicated that the closest
tee was 85 feet south of the subdivision's south property line and the hole
projected in the opposite direction. Mr. Rice again expressed his concern
with the lack of a standard of review in the Subdivision Ordinance and his
concern over the inadequate provision for on-street parking within the
subdivision and the surrounding neighborhood. Mr. Rice moved that the
motion to approve the plat be amended to include a communication to the City
Council that the subdivision plat does not provide sufficient on-street
parking for the subdivision. Mr. Safe seconded the motion for amendment
which was adopted by a vote of 5-0. After further discussion, Chairman
McCauley called for a vote on the motion to approve the final plat for
"Corvette Place" on the condition that communication is made to the City
Council that the plat does not provide sufficient on-street parking for the
subdivision. The motion passed by a vote of 4-0 with 1 abstention.
Chairman McCauley informed the developers that the Plan Commission action
the plat would be forwarded to the City Council for its next meeting on
August 15, 1988.

OTHER BUSINESS

Chairman McCauley recognized Mr. Rice who moved that planning staff review
and, within the near future, recommend amendments to the city's Subdivision
Ordinance in order to address a proper standard of review for Plan Commission
action on plat review and general ordinance updating.
