<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />August 24, 1988 <br /> <br />The City Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the Emergency Operations Center <br />of City Hall on Wednesday, August 24, 1988, convening at 7:30 p.m. with Chairman <br />Matthew P. McCauley presiding. <br /> <br />VOTING MEMBERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Matthew T. McCauley, Chairman <br />Canice T. Rice, Jr., Vice Chairman <br />Arnold J. Kendall <br />Melissa P. Kreishman <br />Stephen Marsh <br />Carl Safe <br />Booker T. Washington <br /> <br />Council Members Present: The Honorable Janet Majerus, Mayor; Robert Wagner, Council <br />Liaison; Joseph Adams, 2nd Ward Councilmember. <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Ollendorff, City Manager; Al Goldman, Director of Planning; <br />Sarah Elwood, Zoning Administrator. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley welcomed Mr. Robert Wagner, 1st Ward Councilmember, as the Mayor's <br />new appointment to the Plan Commission as the Council Liaison. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Mr. Safe moved that the minutes of the July 27, 1988, meeting be approved as <br />corrected. Ms. Kreishman seconded the motion which passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />Mr. Rice moved that the minutes of the August 10, 1988, meeting be approved as <br />submitted. Mr. Washington seconded the motion which passed by a vote of 7-0. <br /> <br />APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT OF CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #266 - RICHARDS BRUNO, INC. AND <br />MARK CONNER BUILDER & DEVELOPER, INC., 951 N. HANLEY ROAD <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley informed those present that the Plan Commission had scheduled a <br />public hearing on an application for an amendment of Conditional Use Permit #266 by <br />Richards Bruno, Inc. and Mark Conner Builder & Developer, Inc. in order to allow the <br />premises at 951 N. Hanley Road to be used for single family detached housing within a <br />planned residential development. Chairman McCauley reviewed the criteria dictated by <br />the Zoning Code which must be satisfied in order for the Plan Commission to recommend <br />approval of the application. He explained that the Plan Commission findings and <br />recommendation on the application would be forwarded to the City Council for its <br />decision. <br /> <br />Chairman McCauley called on the applicants to present information on the application. <br />Mr. Richards Bruno presented a site plan depicting a planned residential development <br />including 65 single family detached homes as well as 30 single family attached <br />townhomes. This plan had been revised, since the Commission last reviewed it in <br />April of this year, in response to the City Council's denial of retail commercial <br />
