<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes - Plan Commission <br />Page 6 <br />January 24, 1990 <br /> <br />After some further discussion, Mr. Kendall indicated that his motion stood, and Chairman <br />McCauley called for a vote on the motion. By a vote of 4-0, the Plan Commission adopted <br />the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments with the following resolution: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION <br /> <br />ADOPTING AMENDMENTS TO PART I - GROWTH MANAGEMENT <br />OF THE 1986 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />FOR THE <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of Section 62 of the University City Charter, the City <br />Plan Commission has the responsibility and authority to prepare and submit to the City <br />Council for its approval a master plan for the physical development of the City and such <br />modifications of said plan, from time to time, as the Commission deems in the public <br />interest; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission and City planning staff have realized that the current <br />language of the 1986 Comprehensive Plan for the City of University City fails to <br />specifically address planning alternatives for the shallow lot depth provided along the <br />City's major commercial corridor; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Plan Commission studied the proposed language at a special meeting <br />with the City Manager and interested citizens on December 5, 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission published notice of a Public Hearing to be held on January <br />24, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the Emergency Operations Center of City Hall, 6801 Delmar <br />Boulevard, regarding the proposed Amendments to Part I - Growth Management and other <br />related issues in full accordance with the requirements of Section 89.360 of the Missouri <br />Revised Statutes (Affidavits attest proper publication on January 9, 1990, in both the ~ <br />Louis Countian and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was duly held on January 24, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the <br />Emergency Operations Center of City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, where the Commission <br />received the comments and suggestions of those present; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Commission believes that the proposed Amendments to Part I - Growth <br />Management to the 1986 Comprehensive Plan for the City of University City, Missouri in the <br />form presented to them for the public hearing of January 24, 1990, fulfill the general <br />purpose of sound economic development in conjunction with the protection of affected <br />residential neighborhoods. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY PLAN COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF UNIVERSITY <br />CITY, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section l. That the amended Part I - Growth Management of the 1986 Comprehensive <br />Plan for the City of University City, Missouri, and dated January 24, 1990, is hereby <br />adopted by the City Plan Commission to replace the Part I - Growth Management adopted in <br />conjunction with the 1986 Comprehensive Plan on November 12, 1986. <br /> <br />In __ <br />
