<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Minutes - PaIn Commission <br />Page 3 <br />May 23, 1990 <br /> <br />declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br />After a brief discussion, Mr. Marsh moved that the Plan Commission <br />recommend approval of the application for Conditional Use Permit <br />#282 for the Subway Sandwich Shop subject to the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. Signs shall be in strict compliance with the sign <br />code provisions of the Zoning Code. <br /> <br />2. Should the City determine that additional trash <br />facilities are needed, additional trash receptacles <br />shall be provided near the restaurant to <br />accommodate this need. Such additional trash <br />receptacle(s) shall be installed at location(s) <br />approved by the Director of Planning. <br /> <br />3. The operator shall regularly police the site and <br />the area adjacent to the restaurant to remove <br />litter generated by the business. <br /> <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Kendall and passed by a vote of 6-0. <br />Ms. Elwood informed the applicant when the City Council would <br />consider his application and the Commission's recommendation. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING - APPLICATION FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT #283, <br />CARRY-OUT RESTAURANT WITH DELIVERY SERVICE AT 7852 OLIVE BOULEVARD <br /> <br />Chairperson Kreishman again informed those present that the Plan <br />Commission had scheduled a public hearing for a Conditional Use <br />Permit application to allow the premises at 7852 Olive Boulevard in <br />the new Westover Center to be used for a Pizza Hut carry-out and <br />delivery service. The Chairperson again outlined the Commission's <br />procedure and criteria for reviewing the application. <br /> <br />Mr. Paul Hentzen representing Pizza Hut of st. Louis, Inc. outlined <br />his company's plans for a carry-out/delivery location at the new <br />Westover center. He stated that almost 90% of the store space <br />would be devoted to kitchen use. No seats would be provided to <br />patrons for indoor dining. The site was for carry-out only by <br />patrons with the greater portion of the business devoted to the <br />delivery service. No liquor would be available for sale from the <br />premises. <br /> <br />The Chairperson called on Mr. Goldman to present the Planning <br />Department's report on the application. Mr. Goldman stated that <br />the application presented a few special problems for the <br />Commission's consideration. He explained that there exists the <br />potential for conflict between the delivery service traffic and <br />
