<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />March 25, 1992 <br /> <br />The Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the E.O.C. room at City Hall, 6801 Delmar <br />Boulevard, University City, Missouri on February 26, 1992. The meeting commenced at 7:30 <br />p.m. with Chairperson Melissa Kreishman presiding. <br /> <br />VOTING MEMBERS PRESENT <br /> <br />VOTING MEMBERS ABSENT <br /> <br />Melissa Kreishman, Chairperson <br />Stephen P. Hill, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Chairperson Kreishman stated that the Commission would now consider approval of the minutes <br />from the February 26, 1992 meeting. Ms. Kreishman pointed out that the word "walk" should <br />be changed to the word "drive" in the fifth sentence of the second paragraph on page 2; the <br />word "than" should be changed to the word "then" in the sixth sentence of the third paragraph <br />on page 8; and the number "31,620" should be changed to the number "31,624" in the fourth <br />sentence of the second paragraph on page 11. Mr. Marsh moved for approval of the February <br />26, 1992 minutes as amended. The motion was seconded by Mr. Foxworth and the motion <br />passed by a vote of 6 - O. <br /> <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONAL USE <br />#294 - INCREASE HOURS OF OPERATION AND ALLOW COOKING OF MEAT ON <br />PREMISES FOR CARRY-OUT RESTAURANT USE. 6985 OLIVE <br /> <br />Chairperson Kreishman informed those present that the Plan Commission had scheduled the <br />continuation of the public hearing on an application from Roderick and Virginia Bell for an <br />amendment to the existing Conditional Use Permit #294 for 6985 Olive in order to increase their <br />hours of operation and to allow cooking of meat on premises at "U-City BBQ." The <br />Chairperson outlined the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing conditional use <br />permits and called for testimony from the applicant. <br /> <br />Mr. Bell stated that he was appearing in order to extend his hours of operation from 11 a.m. <br />through 11 p.m. on week-nights and from 11 a.m. through 12 Midnight on Friday and Saturday <br />to new hours of 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. He stated that the extra hours will increase his sales <br />by 30% - 40%. He is also requesting the right to begin cooking food on premises with a <br />roasting oven. He states that the oven will bum gases and not emit smoke into the air. The air <br />filtration system is already installed. Mr. Bell stated that the hearing was continued to allow him <br />
