. . Plan Commission Minutes, November 17,1993 Page 5 14. Dormitories in "SR": It was agreed to eliminate dormitories entirely in the "SR" District. 15. Elevator Apartments: It was decided that elevator apartments should be permitted in the "MR" district as a permitted use with the understanding that density controls such as maximum height and units per acre should suffice to maintain the medium density character of the district. 16. Day Care Homes/Home Occupation: It was agreed to delete "Day Care Homes, small" as a permitted use in the "SR" and "LR" districts and continue to regulate this activity as a home occupation. 17. Large Day Care Home: It was agreed to eliminate the "day care home, large" from the definitions and from conditional use in all districts, with the understanding that day care centers can be allowed as a church related facility under a conditional use permit. 18. Public Utilities: Based on Mr. Weber's letter it was agreed to keep public utilities as a conditional use in the "SR" & "LR" Districts. 19. Bulk Regulation Exceptions: There was no discussion. 20. Separate Regulations for New Development and Infill Construction: It was agreed to wait until the supplemental regulations and non-conforming regulations are written before evaluating the impact. After discussion on the advisability of proceeding with code changes relating to group homes, it was decided to proceed with a package of such changes. It was requested that Mr. Goldman have these changes ready for the next meeting in a form that can be recommended to the City Council as a package. Next Meeting It was agreed to have the next meeting on Wednesday, December 22,1993 if a telephone poll of the members indicates a quorum will be present. December 15, 1993 was suggested as a back-up date. Adjournment Mr. Kahn moved adjournment of the meeting. Mr. Safe seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
