PLAN COMMISSION Minutes October 25, 1995 The Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the E.O.C. room located in the basement at City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on October 25, 1995. The meeting commenced at 7:30 p.m. with Vice Chairperson Solodar presiding. V oting Members Present Andrea Ratner, Chairperson A. John Solodar, Vice Chairperson Charles Foxworth Thomas Kahn Susan Glassman V oting Members Absent Mickey Peniston Erickson T. Smith Staff Present: Al Goldman, Director of Planning; Frank Hill, Zoning Administrator It was announced that Council Liaison, Paul Schoomer was unable to attend the meeting. Ms. Ratner did not arrive until the second public hearing therefore the votes do not reflect her presence until then. Approval of Minutes Vice Chairperson Solodar stated that the Commission would now consider approval of the minutes from the September 27, 1995 meeting. Mr. Solodar stated that the following changes should be made to page 5: the words "where the proposal by Shell could be tried" should be inserted between the words "location" and "in" in the first sentence of paragraph 2; the words "one of a few" should be inserted between the words "be" and "test" in the second sentence of paragraph 2; the words "perhaps the idea would" should replace "he would prefer to have the idea" in the first sentence of paragraph 4; the word "were" should replace the word "was" in the first sentence of paragraph 6; the sentence "Mr. Norvell stated that an awful lot of his business came from people seeing his current sign from across the street." should be added to the end of paragraph 9. A paragraph stating "The motion was seconded by Mr. Kahn and passed by a vote of 6 to 0 with 1 abstention, with Ms. Ratner abstaining." should replace paragraph 2 of page 6. Ms. Glassman moved for approval of the September 27, 1995 minutes as amended. The motion was seconded by Mr. Kahn and passed by a vote of 4 to O. Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit Amendment Application #298(C), add balcony to previously approved sanctuary addition for a church, 8333 Fullerton Vice Chairperson Solodar announced that a public hearing was scheduled to hear an application from the Abundant Life Ministry Complex for a conditional use permit to allow the premises located at 8333 Fullerton to be used as a church with a sanctuary addition that will accommodate an occupancy of 1322 people.
