<br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />March 26, 1997 <br />The Plan Commission held its regular meeting in the E.O.C. Room located in the basement of City <br />Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on March 26, 1997. The meeting <br />commenced at 7:30 p.m. with Vice Chairperson Glassman presiding. <br />Voting Members PresentVoting Members Absent <br />Susan Glassman, Vice ChairpersonA. Walsh <br />Larry Self <br />Staff Present <br />: Al Goldman, Director of Planning; Frank Hill, Zoning Administrator <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Vice Chairperson Glassman stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from <br />the February 26, 1997 meeting. Ms. Peniston moved for approval of the February 26, 1997 minutes. <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Self and passed by a vote of 4 to 0 with all members voting "aye." <br />Discussion of Zoning Code Revision <br />Mr. Goldman discussed a memo he drafted for the February meeting. It was decided that discussion <br />on the remainder of the memo would be continued to the April meeting. Mr. Solodar drafted a memo <br />that will also be discussed at the April meeting. <br />Text amendment to §34-90, §34-51.4 and§34-51.5 - add bed and breakfast facility as a <br />permitted home occupation <br />Vice Chairperson Glassman announced that a discussion was scheduled concerning text amendments <br />to §34-90, §34-51.4 and §34-51.5. A citizen had previously asked City Council to consider <br />permitting bed and breakfast facilities in University City. City Council directed the Plan Commission <br />to study the matter. The Commission asked City Staff to draft proposed text amendments in order <br />to add Bed and Breakfast Facilities as permitted home occupations. <br />Vice Chairperson Glassman called on Zoning Administrator, Frank Hill to provide the staff report. <br />Mr. Hill stated that a "Bed and Breakfast Facility" would be a permitted home occupation limited to <br />single family dwellings by the definition. Home occupations in both the current and proposed codes <br />are limited to a total floor area of 25% of the whole structure. <br />He suggested the following text amendments to the current code. <br /> <br />
