November 12, 1997 Plan Commission Minutes Page 2 <br />The regulations for that district adequately restrict the use to conform with the comprehensive plan <br />for that area of the city. The city has already determined that the nursing home use is proper under <br />a site plan review. All necessary safeguards, such as conditional use permits and site plan reviews <br />for new construction exist to give proper discretion of the city for the lot's other possible uses. <br />Mr. Hill recommends that the Plan Commission advise the City Council to consent to the abrogation <br />and release the deed restriction. <br />Mr. Price moved that the Plan Commission advise the City Council to consent to the abrogation and <br />release the deed restriction. The motion was seconded by Ms. Glassman and passed by a vote of 5 <br />to 0, with all members voting “aye.” <br />Discussion of City Council’s Proposed changes to the proposed Zoning Code <br />Mr. Hill stated that there were several changes proposed by members of the City Council as outlined <br />in his November 5, 1997 memo to commission members. After discussion of each item, it was <br />decided that Mr. Hill would draft a response memo to the council prior to the November 24, 1997 <br />City Council meeting. <br />Other Business <br />Mr. Solodar announced that tonight would be Mr. Goldman’s last Plan Commission since he will be <br />retiring on November 25, 1997. It was the general consensus that he will be greatly missed and all <br />members of the city have benefitted from his years of service to the community. <br />Mr. Lieberman gave an update of council activities. It was announced that the December meeting <br />th. <br />will be held on December 10 <br />Adjournment <br />Mr. Walsh moved for adjournment.
