<br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />August 25, 1999 <br />The Plan Commission held the regular meeting in the Basement E.O.C. room located in City <br />Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on August 25, 1999. The meeting <br />commenced at 7:30 p.m. with Chairperson Solodar presiding. <br />Voting Members PresentVoting Members Absent <br />A. Hill, Zoning <br />Administrator <br />Council Liaison Present <br />: Robert Wagner, City Council Member <br />Approval of Minutes <br />Chairperson Solodar stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from <br />the July 7, 1999 meeting. Ms. Glassman moved for approval of the July 7, 1999 minutes. The <br />motion was seconded by Mr. Self and passed by a vote of 5 to 0 with all members voting “aye.” <br />Hearing: Map Amendment (Rezoning), 8644 and 8650 Barby <br />Chairperson Solodar announced that a hearing was scheduled to hear a map amendment <br />(rezoning) application from McKnight Place Extended Care, LLC represented by Charles <br />Deutsch, 1 McKnight Place, University City, MO 63124. The applicant wishes to rezone the <br />property at 8644 and 8650 Barby Lane from “SR” - Single Family Residential District to “HRO” <br />- High Density Residential / Office District. <br />The Chairperson noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for map amendment (rezoning) <br />applications. <br />Mr. Deutsch gave an overview of the application, stating that the property to be rezoned abuts <br />property next to the existing McKnight Place Extended Care Nursing Home and the purpose for <br />the rezoning is to expand the nursing home. <br />Mr. Hill gave the staff recommendation that the application be approved per his memo. <br /> <br />
