March 22, 1999 Plan Commission Minutes Page 6 of 6 7.Human occupancy for office or other uses by the applicant and/or the applicant’s successors or the storage of other materials and equipment not in direct support of the connected telecommunications antennas by the applicant and/or the applicant’s successors is prohibited. 8.Telecommunications antennas attached to the building or disguised telecommunications antenna support structure shall be of a color identical to or closely compatible with the surface to which they are mounted. 9.All facilities shall be maintained and improved to remain in the condition in which they were approved. 10.If the antenna or support structure becomes obsolete or is not used or is inactive for a period of one year it shall be considered a nuisance and be removed at the owner’s expense. Construction, maintenance and operation of the antennas shall be in strict compliance 11. with Section 34-64 of the University City Zoning Code. The motion was seconded by Mr. Smith and passed by a vote of 7 to 0, with all members voting “aye.” Other Business Ms. Glassman stated that the Plan Commission has received a letter from The Medve Group and Sheffield Properties requesting that an area be designated as a new redevelopment district in the Comprehensive Plan. The area is located west of North & South, south of Morgan and Groby, east of Groby and Mona and north of Mona and Shaftesbury. Staff was instructed to obtain information on the area and report back to the Plan Commission at the next meeting when the matter will be discussed further. Ms. Glassman congratulated Mr. Irons on his work as the Principal of the Farragut Elementary School which won him recent honors. Adjournment Mr. Price moved for adjournment.
