<br />August 25, 2004 Plan Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Page 2 of3 <br /> <br />Discussion of the Comprehensive Plan Survey <br /> <br />Dr. Terry Jones gave an overview of the procedure for performing the surveys connected with the <br />revision of the comprehensive plan. <br /> <br />Map Amendment (Rezoning) from SR to GC, 1214 Hafner <br /> <br />The Chairperson announced that the hearing was scheduled to hear an application from George and <br />Sandy Tsai, 176 Cedar Bridge Ct., St. Louis, MO 63141 to amend the zoning map from "SR" - <br />Single Family Residential District to "GC" - General Commercial District at the rear portion of 1214 <br />Hafner. The Chairperson noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing map <br />amendments. <br /> <br />Mr. Lei-Hoo Mak, architect, 8328-R Olive Blvd., University City, MO 63132 represented the <br />applicant. Mr. Mak gave an overview of the application and asked that it be approved. Mr. Hill gave <br />the staff recommendation that the application be approved per the Staff Report. The Chairperson <br />asked for comments from the members of the public. No members of the public wished to speak and <br />the hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Mr. Kreishman moved for approval. The motion was seconded by Ms. Ricci and passed by a vote of <br />6 to 0 with all members voting "aye." <br /> <br />Hearing: Resubdivision, 7823 Greensfelder <br /> <br />The Chairperson announced that this was a continuation from a hearing originally held at the June <br />23, 2004 meeting concerning an application from Dante Anselmo, 7823 Greensfelder. The applicant <br />requests that the final plat be approved to combine two existing lots (one on top of the other) and to <br />reconfigure them into two side by side lots (including a boundary adjustment on the eastern lot). <br /> <br />Mr. Hill stated at that previous meeting, it was decided by the Plan Commission that the citizens who <br />spoke at the meeting should be given time to submit a response to the application and that Plan <br />Commission action on the matter would be postponed until the August meeting. In the interim time, <br />the applicant gave written permission that the commission's action on the final plat may be extended <br />past the sixty (60) day limit (which would have been August 22,2004) to tonight's date August 25, <br />2004 so that a special meeting would not have to be held. Also, during the interim the Greensfelder <br />Lane Association made a submission setting forth their position against the rezoning. Mr. Anselmo <br />made his own response. Both submissions were made part of the application and were included in <br />the packets for the meeting. <br /> <br />The Chairperson noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing resubdivisions. <br /> <br />Mr. Anselmo gave an overview of the proposal and asked that it be approved. <br /> <br />m-08-25-2004 . final. pic. doc <br />
