August 24, 2005 Plan Commission Minutes Page 3 of 3 <br />John Solodar, 8135 Cornell Ct. gave an overview of the Cell Tower Task Force minority report and <br />asked that the findings be adopted. <br />Mr. Smith asked that the City Attorney give an opinion on the proposals, asked that Albany, California <br />be contacted concerning their experience with the matter since the majority report recommendations <br />were modeled after that municipality’s ordinance and asked that industry representatives be contacted. <br />Kay Drey, 515 West Point; Sandra Lowes, 7425 Teasdale; Dorothy Doyle, 6334 Pershing spoke in <br />favor of the majority report. <br />The Commission stated they will take the new information under advisement and discuss the matter <br />further next month. <br />Discussion of Additional Single Family Residential Districts <br />The Chairperson announced that the Commission would discuss the Staff Report concerning additional <br />single family districts. Mr. Walker gave an overview of the report and stated that there are two <br />approached given in the report: option one would create additional single family residential zoning <br />districts based on lot size and width, the other creates a standard whereby the prevailing pattern of a <br />subdivision is used to determine minimum lot size. A motion was made by Ms. Borg, seconded by Ms. <br />Arbogast that staff move forward with implementing the staff recommendation to create additional <br />single family residential districts based on Approach 1 of the memo. The motion was amended by Mr. <br />Myers to include information regarding what the implications of these new districts would have had on <br />development over the past two years and passed by a vote of 5 to 0. <br />Adjournment <br />Ms. Borg moved for adjournment.
