Since that time, I <br />believe we have approved at least one text amendment that was specifically directed toward new construction in <br />the midst of older homes. I believe that if plans for new construction are in compliance with the existing code, <br />further action is not necessary. I think it puts an unnecessary burden on landowners/developers. Additionally, it <br />potentially could add months to a project that is compliant with the code. If the plans are outside of the code, it will <br />come to the plan commission as a matter of course. I didn't comment on this last night but I find it odd that there <br />seems to be a presumption that in-fill housing will not be compatible with the existing neighborhood. I would think <br />developers would prefer to build attractive homes that do fit into the existing neighborhood that would be found to <br />be aesthetically pleasing. . <br />Summing up, I do not see any changed circumstances from the our last discussion of this issue that would <br />necessitate the formation of an in-fill review board. <br /> <br />(j)e6oralijt. jtr60gast <br />1?jsftam!
