The number of signs, described in subsection 5 of this section, shall be limited to <br />one sign per candidate, civic campaign issue, or other noncommercial message for each street <br />frontage. <br />b. Height. In the “SR” single-family residential and “LR” limited residential districts, the signs <br />described in subsection 5 of this section shall be limited to ground-mounted signs and shall not <br />exceed a height of four feet. In all other districts, wall-mounted signs may not exceed a <br />maximum height of twenty (20) feet and ground-mounted signs may not exceed a height of <br />three feet from the bottom of the sign to ground level. <br />c. Area. The gross area of the signs, described in subsection 5 of this section, shall not exceed <br />five square feet in area per sign for each ten thousand (10,000) feet of lot area, provided any <br />sign exceeding twenty (20) square feet in such area shall be set back a minimum of twenty-five <br />(25) feet from all street right-of-way lines. <br />d. Sign Display Time Limitations. In the case of signs associated with political and other <br />noncommercial civic campaigns, such signs may be displayed thirty (30) days prior to and <br />seven days after the campaign for which intended. In cases where a final election follows within <br />one hundred (100) days of a primary election, those candidates who won in the primary <br />election may continue to display their signs during the interim period and up to seven days after <br />the final election. <br />(All numbered paragraphs in the code section above shall be renumbered.) <br />The motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and passed by a vote of 6 to 0 with all members voting “aye.” <br />Other Business <br />No other business was discussed. <br />Adjournment <br />Mr. Myers moved for adjournment.
