No members of the public wished to speak. <br />Mr. Kreishman moved that the following text amendment to the Zoning Code be approved (additions <br />bolded <br />are and deletions are stricken): <br />Except as otherwise limited in this section, the following types of signs are permitted, without <br />a sign permit, in all of the zoning districts of University City: <br />Temporary Signs – On-Premise Yard Signs (for example, , <br />1. Real Estate Signs <br />Construction Signs, Political Signs and other temporary yard signs) <br />. <br />ten <br />a. Consisting of temporary signs not exceeding four square feet in gross area for each ten <br />thousand (10,000) square feet of lot area or fraction thereof and not exceeding three feet in <br />height for each ten thousand (10,000) square feet of lot area or fraction thereof; provided, the <br />height limitations shall not apply to signs displayed in windows or attached directly to building <br />walls. Such directional signs may be located off-premises and within <br />a street right-of-way, subject to the requirements of Article 5, Section 34-65, “Visibility at <br />Intersections” of this chapter. Location of such signs in street rights-of-way not under the <br />control of the city shall be subject to the rules and regulations of the applicable authority (e.g., <br />Missouri Highway and Transportation Department, or St. Louis County Department of <br />Highways and Traffic). <br />2. Construction signs, provided only one such sign may be erected on each street frontage for <br />the duration of such construction activities. The sign shall not exceed ten square feet in gross <br />area for each ten thousand (10,000) square feet of lot area or fraction thereof, not to exceed <br />a total of one hundred (100) square feet. Such sign(s) shall be located on the property in which <br />the construction activity is taking place. <br />5.
