<br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />November 8, 2006 <br /> <br />The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the EOC Room in the basement of City Hall, 6801 <br />Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on November 8, 2006. The meeting commenced at 6:30 <br />p.m. with Chairperson Pro Tern Smith presiding. <br /> <br />Voting Members Present <br />Harley Smith <br />Rosalyn Borg <br />Charles Marentette <br />Mike Miller <br />Tom Byrne <br /> <br />Voting Members Absent <br />Steve Myers, Chairperson <br />John Kreishman, Vice Chairperson <br /> <br />Council Liaison Present: Byron Price, Councilmember <br /> <br />Staff Present: Frank Hill, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Choosing of Chairperson Pro Tern <br /> <br />The Commission decided to have Mr. Smith chair the meeting in the absence ofMr. Myers and Mr. <br />Kreishman <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The Chairperson Pro Tern stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from the <br />October 25,2006 meeting. Mr. Smith stated that Ms. Ricci's name needs to be removed from <br />attending that meeting and replaced with Mr. Byrne's name. He also stated to change "n/a" to "none." <br />He also stated that the phrase "After extensive discussion by Commission members..." be added to the <br />last paragraph of Page 2. Ms. Borg moved for approval of the minutes amended. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Byrne and passed by a vote of 5 to 0 with all members voting "aye." <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit, Commercial Building with Rear Setback Modification, <br />6800 Olive <br /> <br />The Chairperson Pro Tern announced that a public hearing was scheduled to hear an application from <br />Catholic Charities, represented by Michael J. Fitzgerald, VP Children's Services, 4532 Lindell Blvd., <br />S1. Louis, MO 63108. The applicant requests that it be permitted to construct a dormitory addition to <br />the building at 1340 Partridge. <br /> <br />The Chairperson Pro Tern noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing conditional <br />use permits and amendments to them. The Chairperson Pro Tern specifically stated that the Plan <br />Commission must consider whether the use: a) Complies with all applicable provisions of the <br />University City Zoning Code; b) At the specific location will contribute to and promote the community <br /> <br />Q:\ WPOFFICE\ WPDAT A \m-ll-08-2006.plc.final. wpd <br />
