May 28, 2008 Plan Commission Minutes Page 5 of 5 <br />Hearing: Map Amendment and Preliminary Development Plan Approval, Six Story <br />Apartment and Retail Building, 7384 Forsyth <br />The Chairperson announced that a hearing was scheduled concerning an application from Josh <br />Wohlreich, Project Manager, Orchard Development Group, 561 W. Diversity Parkway, Suite <br />202, Chicago, IL 60614 for a map amendment to “PD-M” - Planned Development mixed Use <br />District and approval of a preliminary development plan for a six story apartment and retail <br />building at 7384 Forsyth. <br />The Chairperson noted the Commission's procedures and criteria for reviewing map amendments <br />and preliminary development plans. James Case represented the applicant, Orchard Development <br />and gave an overview of the proposal. He stated the project will be named the “Trianon Project” <br />and asked that it be approved. Mr. Hill gave the staff recommendation that the application be <br />approved per the Staff Report. <br />Mr. Halpert moved that the Plan Commission recommend approval of the map amendment as set <br />forth in the Staff Report. The motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and passed by a vote of 5 to 0 <br />with all members voting “yes.” <br />Mr. Halpert moved that the Plan Commission recommend approval of the Preliminary <br />Development Plan and the proposed Resolution be approved by the City Council as set forth in <br />the Staff Report. The motion was seconded by Mr. Miller and passed by a vote of 5 to 0 with all <br />members voting “yes.” <br />Other Business <br />No other business was discussed. <br />Adjournment <br />Mr. Senturia moved for adjournment.
