<br /> <br />PLAN COMMISSION <br />Minutes <br />June 25, 2008 <br /> <br /> <br />The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the E.O.C. Room located in the basement of <br />City Hall, 6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on June 25, 2008. The meeting <br />commenced at 6:30 p.m. with Chairperson Marentette presiding. <br /> <br />Voting Members Present Voting Members Absent <br />Charles Marentette, Chairperson n/a <br />Tom Byrne, Vice Chairperson <br />Nova Felton <br />Lisa Greening <br />Mike Miller <br />Ben Senturia <br />Ben Halpert <br /> <br />Council Liaison Present: Terry Crow, Councilperson <br /> <br />Staff Present: Lehman Walker, Director of Community Development; Frank Hill, Manager of <br />Current Planning <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The Chairperson stated that the Commission would consider approval of the minutes from the <br />May 28, 2008 meeting. Mr. Miller moved for approval of the minutes. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Halpert and passed by a vote of 6 to 0 with all members voting “yes” (Ms. <br />Greening was not present for this agenda item). <br /> <br /> <br />Continuation Of Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit Amendment, Expansion of <br />Services for Dormitory Facility, 1340 Partridge <br /> <br />The Chairperson announced that a public hearing was scheduled to hear an application from <br />Good Shepherd Children & Family Services represented by Peggy Slater, Executive Director of <br />Client Services, 1340 Partridge, University City, MO 63130 to allow the services at 1340 <br />Partridge to expand from existing services (to 12 boys and 12 girls) to include the addition of 8 <br />pregnant/parenting teens and their infant children (in existing facilities, no new construction <br />will be involved). It was noted that this hearing is a continuation of a previous meeting on May <br />28, 2008. <br /> <br />The Chairperson noted the Commission’s procedures and criteria for reviewing conditional use <br />permits and amendments to them. The Chairperson specifically stated that the Plan <br />Commission must consider whether the use: a) Complies with all applicable provisions of the <br />University City Zoning Code; b) At the specific location will contribute to and promote the <br />community welfare or convenience; c) Will not cause substantial injury to the value of <br /> <br /> <br />
