<br /> <br />Plan Commission <br />Minutes <br />July 28, 2010 <br /> <br />The Plan Commission held their regular meeting in the EOC Room located at City Hall, 6801 <br />Delmar Boulevard, University City, Missouri on July 28, 2010. The meeting commenced at 6:30 <br />pm. <br /> <br />Voting Members PresentMembers Absent <br /> <br />Deidre Lewis, Vice-Chairperson Ben Halpert, Chairperson <br />Paulette Carr <br />Ben Senturia <br />Nova Felton <br />Tom Byrne <br />Lisa Greening <br /> <br />Stephen Kraft, Council Member <br /> <br />Staff Present: Andrea Riganti, Acting Director of Community Development; Zach Greatens, <br />Planner <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes <br /> <br />The Commission considered the minutes from the June 23, 2010 meeting. There were items <br />from the June 23 meeting that the Commission requested to have included in the minutes. These <br />items were from the hearing for the Minor Subdivision at 6647 and 6651 Washington Avenue <br />and were regarding the location of any existing curb cuts on the property and the location of one- <br />way signs in the alley adjacent to the property. Staff stated they would adjust the minutes <br />accordingly. Ms. Greening moved for approval of the minutes provided the suggested <br />corrections are made. The motion was seconded by Ms. Felton. The motion passed. <br /> <br />Public Hearing: Conditional Use Permit Application – 6717 Vernon Avenue <br /> <br />The Vice-Chairperson announced that a public hearing was scheduled for a conditional use <br />permit application for 6717 Vernon Avenue to permit an adult day care facility in the IC – <br />Industrial Commercial District. <br /> <br />The applicant, Loretta Collins, address, provided an overview of the proposal. Ms. Collins is <br />proposing to operate an adult day care facility at 6717 Vernon Avenue. The property is zoned IC <br />– Industrial Commercial. The purpose of a facility of this kind is to provide day-time relief for <br />families caring for seniors. <br /> <br />Questions/comments from the Plan Commission and responses from the applicant and/or staff <br />included: <br /> <br />-Has the applicant communicated with neighboring businesses?
