The Commissioners voted to table this item until they received the police
accident reports for the last 3 years and more input from residents.

UP DATE:
On March 16, 2004, we received a phone call from Ms. Cushshon, resident at 6544 Avalon in agreement
with the request. Currently, there are 5 residents against the request and 2 in favor.

Please find attached the two police accident reports which cover the last 3 years, which are summarized
as follows:
?

August 5, 2000 the report refers to a bicycle striking a vehicle.
?

August 31, 2002 the report refers to a parked car that was damaged by a driver who left the
scene.

The traffic counter was reinstalled to verify if the majority of the traffic goes east or westbound. The
traffic westbound is about 60% greater than the traffic eastbound. It was verified that on or about 400
to 500 cars travel the street per day which is not an excessive amount compared with other residential
streets of the same size.

1
V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\agenda\2004\Agenda 4-7-04.doc
