<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO 63130 Phone: 314-862-6767, <br />Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br /> <br />Date: April 7, 2006 <br /> <br />To: Members of the Traffic Commission <br /> <br />From: Mariela Tapia, Secretary of the Traffic Commission. <br /> <br />Re: April 12, 2006 Traffic Commission Meeting <br /> <br />This is to inform you that the next Traffic Commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, <br />April 12, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. in the Jackson Park Elementary School- Gymnasium. <br /> <br />Please call Sandy Weinberg at 505-8563, and advise her if you will not be attending the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />1.Directional Signs for Christ the King Parish and School. <br /> <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request form dated March 9, 2006 submitted by Christopher <br />Schmidt. Ms. Schmidt is requesting that a two sided directional sign be erected on Balson <br />Avenue, near the intersection of Midland Boulevard (please see model attached). <br /> <br />The sign is a small, directional sign to provide guidance to “Christ the King Parish and <br />School”. <br /> <br />The Engineering Division recommends that the sign be installed according to MUTCD and <br />City’s regulations. The sign should be furnished and installed by the owner. <br /> <br />2.Safety concerns at Julian Avenue (between Belrue and Ursula Ave.) <br /> <br /> <br />Please find attached a traffic request dated October 28, 2005 from Karima Wilson. Ms. <br />Wilson is the property owner of 6746 Julian Avenue. She requests that the City take the <br />necessary actions to close off the street to prevent through traffic. <br /> <br />The Engineering Division informed Ms. Wilson that public streets can not be closed off to <br />prevent through traffic. <br /> <br />Ms. Wilson personally requested a stop sign to be installed on Julian at Belrue.
