Please call 505-8568 to confirm <br />your attendance. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />1. ParkinQ Restriction for 8516 Olive Blvd <br /> <br />Backaround: <br /> <br />Francisco Coronel requested on April 22, 2008, the assignment of Customer parking only for business located at <br />8516 Olive Blvd, in the City's ROW alley located in the back of the building, in order to provide parking for his <br />customers. This item was discussed on June 11, 2008 meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Coronel states that employees from next door businesses take all the parking spaces for the complete work <br />day and no parking spaces are available for customers. He request at least 3 parking spaces to be designated for <br />Customer Parking Only. <br /> <br />Currently, there is parking allowed in the back of the building except on Wednesdays from 7 am to 9 am for street <br />cleaning purposes, since that alley/parking area is maintained by the City. <br /> <br />Public Works presented to the commission the possibility of a one-hour parking restriction being implemented in <br />the rear of the property for five (5) of the parking spaces to address the businesses' customer parking needs. <br /> <br />Public Works Report: <br /> <br />After consideration was given to the recommendation of the commission, to grant this request, Public Works <br />Department considers that all businesses along the complete length of the alley (8400 and 8500 blocks of Olive <br />Blvd), should be contacted and have a survey of their needs. Also, Public Work is considering the installation of <br />parking meters in order to help maintain the parking area in good conditions. <br /> <br />After information is collected, this item will be in the agenda for the September 2008 meeting, to allow time for the <br />businesses to reply to notice that Public Works will be sending in July 2008. <br /> <br />Public works request that Traffic Commission recommend if notification area should be widened beyond the 8400 <br />and 8500 blocks of Olive blvd. <br /> <br />2. ChanQe the 7300 block of Liberty Ave to be one-way street from PaQe Ave to Hanley Ave. <br /> <br />Please find attached traffic request form submitted by Delois Buckley, resident at 7387 Liberty Ave. received June <br />23, 2008. Mr. Buckley and residents in the 7300 block of Liberty Avenue requested that consideration be given to <br />changing the 7300 block of Liberty Ave be one-way street from Page Ave to Hanley Ave. <br /> <br />The problems that affect the 7300 block of Liberty as stated in the request are: <br /> <br />. Speed Control <br />. Seeking protection and security of School age children at designated bus stops <br />. Stop the drug traffic <br />.
