Please call (314) 505-8568 or email <br />agutierrez@ucitymo.org to confirm your attendance. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes June 9, 2010 <br />1. <br /> <br />Traffic Commission Annual Report <br />2. <br /> <br />Please find attached a draft of the Traffic Commission Annual Report, with all the requests that were <br />discussed by the commission in the fiscal year 2009 - 2010, from the July 8, 2009 meeting to the <br />June 9, 2010 meeting. The report contains each item discussed, the Traffic Commission <br />recommendation, the City Council decision, action taken and its date of implementation. <br /> <br />After the Traffic Commission revises this document, it will be submitted to the City Manager /City <br />Council as required by City Municipal Code. <br /> <br />NON ACTION ITEMS <br /> <br />3. Great Rivers Greenway Project – Centennial Greenway Trail on Melville Ave. from <br />Kingsbury Blvd to Delmar Blvd. <br /> <br />The Great Rivers Greenway has a project to install a new trail system along Melville Avenue to <br />connect Washington University and Ackert Walkway. The project consists of creating 1500 linear feet <br />of a shared bike/pedestrian greenway and associated improvements to adjacent property along <br />Melville Avenue between Kingsbury Boulevard and 400 linear feet north of Delmar Boulevard. The <br />work includes removal of the existing sidewalk and parking lane, installation of 10 to 14 feet wide <br />concrete mixed-use greenway with street trees, lighting, and signage. The project also includes <br />retaining walls, railings, and landscape improvements to properties that abut the greenway, raised <br />concrete pedestrian crossings at four intersections, a new plaza at Delmar, a new signalized <br />intersection at Delmar and Melville, and parking lot improvements north of Delmar. <br /> <br />Patrick Owens, Project Manager for the Great Rivers Greenway, will present the project to the <br />commission. A parking restriction is required to be included to the City’s code to prohibit parking on <br /> <br />the west side of Melville between Kingsbury Ave. and Delmar Blvd. <br /> <br />4. Loop Parking Meters Time Limit Extension from Two to Four Hours <br /> <br />In June 2010, hours of operation for the parking meters were extended from 9am until 8pm Monday <br />through Saturday and the meter rates increased from $0.50 per hour to $0.75 per hour city wide. <br /> <br />In July 2010, the Loop Special Business District (LSBD) requested that the City extend the maximum <br />time limit for Loop parking meters from two (2) hours to four (4) hours each day so that patrons to <br /> <br />
