<br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />MEETING ON NOVEMBER 13, 2002 <br /> <br /> <br />Acting chairperson Susan Schafers called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m. Those <br />present were: <br /> <br />Raymond Creer Melcine Henderson <br />Elizabeth Proost Mariela Tapia, Traffic Commission Secretary <br />Elizabeth Schiller Tim Moffitt, Public Works Department <br />Lt. Roger Spearman <br /> <br />1) Approval of the minutes from the October 09, 2002 meeting <br /> <br />The commission voted unanimously to approve the minutes. <br /> <br />2) Stop Signs at Wild Cherry. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND INFORMATION: <br />? <br /> A Traffic Request Form, dated September 11, 2002, was submitted by Ruth <br /> <br />Levy. She is requestingStop Signs for eastbound Wild Plum at Wild Cherry, <br />eastbound Peach Tree at Wild Cherry, and eastbound Burr Oak at Wild Cherry. <br />Also, she is requesting stop signs for westbound Peach Tree at Wild Cherry. <br />? <br /> Is the recommendation of the Engineering Division, subject to the approval of the <br />Public Works Director, to post Yield Signs for eastbound Burr Oak and Wild Plum <br />at Wild Cherry Lane. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION: <br /> <br />? <br /> Present were Mr. and Mrs. Levy. Mrs. Levy was concerned for children playing <br />in the streets. She stated that cars ignore the Yield Sign posted on Wild Cherry. <br />She said that cars come at good speed off North and South to Peach Tree and <br />from Wild Plum and Burr Oak to Wild Cherry. <br />? <br /> According to the Police Department records, there are no reported accidents at <br />the intersection of Peach Tree and Wild Cherry for the last three years. <br /> <br />The Commission voted unanimously to post Yield Signs for eastbound Burr Oak <br />and Wild Plum at Wild Cherry Lane <br /> <br />To Prohibit Parking on a Portion of Hayes Ave. <br />3) <br /> <br />BACKGROUND INFORMATION: <br />? <br /> A Traffic Request Form, dated September 30, 2002, was submitted by Gordon <br />Webb, owner of FTS Delivery, Inc.
