<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Boulevard, University City, MO 63130 <br />Phone: 314-862-6767, Fax: (314) 862-0694 <br /> <br />CITY OF UNIVERSITY CITY <br />MINUTES OF THE TRAFFIC COMMISSION <br />MEETING ON September 10, 2003 <br /> <br />Acting chairperson Susan Schafers called the meeting to order at 6:38 p.m. Those <br />present were: <br /> <br />Melcine Henderson Raymond Creer <br />Elizabeth Schiller Mariela Tapia, Traffic Commission Secretary <br /> <br />Residents and business owners were present representing the 7000 and 7200 block of <br />Pershing Ave. and Appleton Drive. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Restrict parking during business hours on Pershing from Big Bend to <br /> <br />first driveway, south side. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND INFORMATION: <br />On June 10, 2003 a Traffic Request Form was submitted by phone from Ms. <br />Dilschneider to the City Manager requesting to restrict parking during business hours <br />on Pershing from Bid Bend to first Driveway on south side (area between Big Bend and <br />the businesses entrance that allows to park 3 cars). <br /> <br />Since September 2002, there is a Parking Prohibition on 7000 block of Pershing Ave. <br />from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, <br />except by Residential Permit. The sign is posted at the First Home after the businesses <br />southbound and at the intersection with Big Bend northbound. <br /> <br />A Traffic Request Form from Molly Edler (resident at 7011 Pershing Ave.) dated <br />rd <br />September 3, requested to maintain the current parking permit system as well as the <br />traffic barrier at the east end of the block. <br /> <br />This issue was previously discussed on July, 2003 Traffic commission meeting.
