<br />Page 2 <br />Minutes October 8, 2003 <br />Traffic Commission Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />On October 3, 2003 the Public Works Department received a phone call from the Public <br />Works Director on Clayton City, David Christensing, informing that he was strongly opposed <br />to install any stop signs or crosswalk at that location since there was not warrant supporting <br />those. <br /> <br />On October 5, 2003 the Public Works Department received a letter from H. Boulter Kelsey Jr. <br />in support of the request to install a crosswalk on North&South at the limits with Clayton <br />City. Please find letter attached. <br /> <br />On October 7, 2003 the Public Works Department received a phone call from the residents at <br />523 North & South Road, supporting the request. <br /> <br />2.Additional set of Stop Signs for Kingsbury-Williams intersection. <br /> <br /> <br />Representing this issue were John Parks (7188 Kingsbury), Cindy Berger (7069 Kingsbury), <br />Genice Self (7057 Kingsbury), and Deb Carlin (7132 Washington). <br /> <br />Dr. Carlin made an exposition for all the audience. She mentioned her concerns about cars <br />going fast along Kingsbury, there is a school around and therefore school buses traffic, and <br />on the area there is a lot of elderly and children. She mentioned that this situation is not <br />due to the Metro construction. <br /> <br />3.Slow the speed of cars shortcutting through Lafon to get to Gay and on Gay Ave. <br /> <br /> <br />Representing this issue were Nancy Sachar (8044 Lafon Pl), Joan Botwinick (511 Westview <br />Dr) and, John Reid (8025 Lafon Pl). <br /> <br />Nancy and Joan presented a letter with some suggestions for traffic control. Please find <br />letter attached.
