Page 3 - Minutes
September 13, 2006

?Improvements to Gay Avenue (an unimproved road)

Ms. Botwinick requested that asphalt be installed on the borders of the road and for the
potholes to be fixed permanently.

Eric Husman stated that Gay Avenue, from the south city limits to Old Bonhomme Road
is an unimproved street and a minimum amount of maintenance is provided. If the
neighborhood is interested in the complete improvement of the street including curbs
and gutters, the residents should submit a petition to the City Council.

?Street Sign identifying Gay Ave.

Eric stated that the City records indicate that the street that connects Old Bonhomme
Rd. and Mapleview Drive is Gay Ave. and not Teasdale Ave. as the street sign states.

Public Works representatives were instructed to install the street name sign for Gay Ave
(from Old Bonhomme Rd. to Mapleview Dr.) and remove the existing street name sign
for Teasdale Ave. However, drivers may get confused because they will not be able to
find Teasdale Ave. driving south from Old Bonhomme Rd.

It was decided for the street name sign to indicate both streets, Gay and Teasdale,
adding an arrow to Teasdale for information purposes.

3.University City Calendar

The commissioners reviewed the 2007 University City Calendar taking into consideration
official Jewish Holidays.

The traffic commission voted for continue meeting on the second Wednesday of every month,
except for the month of August when there is no meeting and for the month of September
when is scheduled for the first week of the month.

4.West Intersection of Delcrest Drive and Delmar Boulevard

The commissioners were informed about comments from Garry Earls, Acting Director of St.
Louis County Department of Highways and Traffic, regarding traffic concerns near the west
intersection of Delcrest Dr. and Delmar Blvd.

5.Approval of Minutes for July 12, 2006 meeting

The minutes were unanimously approved.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p. m.

Minutes prepared by Mariela Tapia, Traffic Commission Secretary

V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2006\Minutes 9-13-06.doc
