I also have attached photos to show the three parking spaces. Mr.
Berger has requested to receive residential parking permits or change the status of
these spaces to reflect commercial parking as well as residential for three parking
spaces along the south side of Pershing Ave. just west of Big Bend and adjacent to the
commercial building. Currently parking is allowed by residential parking permit holders
only.

The residents will be notified in homes directly impacted by this request.

Public works received no negative feed back from any of the residents along
Pershing. Mr. Berger stated that as a taxpayer he has a right to park along
Pershing as well as the residents. Commissioner Hyman stated that he believes
the Williams Pharmacy should have a right to park there as well. Some discussion
was in regard to how to handle the signage that would say to allow parking for the
commercial area also. Council Wagner said that this area was given to residential
parking only when there was a sports bar located in this area and costumers were
parking all up and down Pershing. The traffic commission voted unanimously to
remove those three spots in question to be removed from parking by permit only.

V:\WP51\Mariela-Projects\Traffic Commission\minutes\2007\Minutes 4-11-07.doc
