The proposed entry gate is from Missouri Ornamental Iron Company, Inc. and includes the fabrication <br />and installation of two pipe bollards post and one set of iron flag type entry gates between bollard posts <br />at an estimate cost of $1,765.18. Mr. Cline stated that the Hafner Place Block Association agreed to pay <br />the difference after the city contribute with the $500.oo <br /> <br />The commissioners voted unanimously for this request to be approved and recommended for <br />the city to contribute with $500.00 and The Hafner Place Block Association to pay the balance. <br /> <br /> <br />3.REQUEST FOR STOP SIGN ON WARDER AVE AT LAFON PLACE <br /> <br /> <br />Richard M Hinds, resident at 7814 Lafon Place, presented his request to install a Stop Sign for <br />southbound Warder at Lafon to prevent accidents at this intersection. Currently there are two stop signs <br />on this intersection, one for eastbound Lafon at Warder and one for northbound Warder at Lafon. <br /> <br />The results from the Speed Traffic Trailer shows that 7% (367 vehicles) of the vehicles drove over speed <br />limit (from October 21 to November 12, 2007) <br />There were 4 reported accidents at this intersection 2 in the year 2001 and 2 in the year 2004. <br /> <br />Mr. Hinds stated that after closing of Forest park parkway, traffic had increased traveling from U. City to <br />the city of Clayton, and he predicts that traffic will increase more with closing of I-64. <br />He also collected some signatures after their Block party when the idea for this petition was suggested, <br />especially for all the families with young children that live in the neighborhood. <br /> <br />The commissioners voted unanimously for a stop sign to be installed on southbound Warder Ave <br />at Lafon Place and also for the alley at this intersection to be trimmed. <br /> <br />4.REQUEST FOR NO PARKING SIGNS BETWEEN 7:30 am AND 9:00 am MONDAY THROUGH <br /> <br />FRIDAY, ON PARKING METERS SPACES LOCATED SOUTH SIDE OF GANNON AVE., WEST OF <br />NORTH&SOUTH RD. <br /> <br />Ilan Davidovici, resident at 1000 Chartres Ave, representing Torah Prep School Campus with over 100 <br />students, presented his request for the parking meters between the alleyway and North and South Rd on the <br />south side on Gannon, west of North and South, to be designated as NO PARKING between the hours 7:30 <br />am and 9:00 am, Monday through Friday to create a smooth, safe and easy drop off Zone for children at <br />Torah Prep School. <br /> <br />There is not impact on businesses since they do not open until 9 am and no impact for residents since they <br />have their own parking spaces.
