Suggestion #4. Traffic Commission voted unanimously to deny the submittal of this request to
St. Louis County. Mr. Poelker changed the request to paint white broken lines only on the right
lane turning right onto Big Bend. Commissioner Robinson stated that he voted against it
because cars turning right would be close to the curb and this could damage wheels and
possibly cause accidents.

3. Parking Restriction on North and South Rd from Delmar Blvd to Gannon Ave.

To improve traffic flow on the St.Louis County's secondary road network in light of the closure of 1-
64/40, St. Louis County implemented No Parking restrictions on both sides of North and South Rd
from Delmar Blvd to Gannon Ave between the hours of 7a.m. and 9a.m. and between the hours of
4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday thru Friday. St. Louis County has jurisdiction over North & South Road,
north of Delmar. In order for the Police Department to enforce this parking restriction, the
municipal code must be amended.

Public Works will contact the businesses/residents in the affected area (600 block of North & South
Rd including North & South Rd between Delmar Blvd. and Gannon Ave.) to provide notification of
the change and provide an opportunity for their input. Public Works asked the Traffic Commission if
the notification area should be widened.

It is the Traffic Commission's recommendation that the notification area not be widened beyond the
600 block of North & South Rd.

7. Change Lindell Blvd. from a One-way to a Two-way Street from Forsyth Blvd. to
Approximately 120 Feet North of Forsyth Blvd.

The parking lot located at the intersection of Lindell Blvd/Forsyth Blvd is under reconstruction. The
new parking lot will have one entrance/exit facing Lindell Blvd.

Public Works recommends that Lindell Blvd. be a two-way street from Forsyth Blvd. to
approximately 120 feet north of Forsyth Blvd. and that a barricade be installed at the 120 ft distance
on Lindell north of Forsyth Blvd, to separate the two-way Lindell Blvd section from the one-way

Minutes - February 13, 2008
V:IWPSIIENGINEERING DIVISIONIPublic Works- Traffic Commissionlminutesl20081Minutes 2-13-08.doc

Page 3
