only benefit the business establishments on Forsyth Blvd and not the residents
who live on Lindell Blvd.

The e-mail states the following:

1. Some residents do not have their own garage space; their only option is to
park their vehicles in the limited spaces on both sides of the street.
2. Commuters on a daily basis park and ride the Metrolink train to and from
work / airport / events.
3. Making Lindell two-way will pose a safety concern. There is only one way
to exit the neighborhood from their homes on Lindell heading south on
Lindell and turning onto Forsyth. It will reduce visibility and cut off the
angle required to pull ahead to see around the cars protruding into the
road.

The residents made the following suggestions:

1. Make the entire segment of Lindell Blvd between Forsyth and Manhattan a
one-way street in the direction opposite the direction suggested, thus
allowing the residents who live on the 7300 block of Lindell the ability to
enter and exit their homes and neighborhood safely, while also
accommodating the business traffic for the Forsyth businesses and the
parking lot on the corner of Lindell and Forsyth.
2. Establish a residential parking permit system in the 7300 block of Lindell.

Mr. Hyman stated that Ms. Catherine Button resident at 7359 Lindell received the
"Residents Parking Petition Form" from Ms. Gutierrez and that Ms. Button will
initiate the petition.

It is the Traffic Commission's recommendation to consider the assignment of the
entire segment of Lindell Blvd between Forsyth and Manhattan a One-Way street
north-east bound and for this request to be tabled until the April 9, 2008 meeting.

3. Parking Meters near the Intersection of Lindell Blvd and Forsyth Blvd.

For informational purposes - Public Works notified the residents and businesses
in the 7300 block of Lindell and 7300 block of Forsyth Blvd. of the proposed
locations for parking meters. Comments from the residents/business owners will
be considered at the April 9, 2008 Traffic Commission Meeting.

4. Approval of Minutes - February 13, 2088 meeting.

The minutes of the February 13, 2008 meeting were unanimously approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:50 p.m.
Minutes prepared by Angelica Gutierrez, Project Manager - Traffic Commission
Liaison

Minutes - March12, 2008 Page 2
V:\WP51\ENGINEERING DIVISION\Public Works- Traffic Commission\minutes\2008\Minutes 3-12-8.doc
