Establish Parking Meters on Forsyth north side of street just east of Lindell

The meters will operate a total of 9 hours daily, Monday through Friday from 9am until 6pm. The meter
hourly charge is $.50. The parking time limit is two (2) hours.

Mrs. Gutierrez explained that in four (4) spaces, parking meters will be installed and that parking for two
(2) spaces will be restricted to 15 minutes to provide a customer pick-up area. To accommodate this
request, a 15 minute parking zone would have to be established and designated by ordinance. Section
10.44.020, Parking prohibited on certain streets during designated hours, of the municipal code to be
amended to allow fifteen minute parking.

Mr. Barron asked if the signs could be designated for Casadilla and Taylor Shop exclusively, and Mrs.
Gutierrez explained that it is usually 15 minutes parking prohibition what the City would furnish and install.
Mr. Barron also mentioned that he will be installing signs on his building stating those (2) parking spaces
are for customers only and asked if they could be enforceable. Sgt. King explained that if the signs are
not too big and Mr. Barron uses his property to display them, they would be acceptable, not illegal.

Location of the (2) parking spaces with no meters were discussed. Mr. Barron prefers the 2 spaces be
designated close to the intersection, instead of one on each end of the (6) spaces.
Minutes – May 14, 2008 Page
2

V:\WP51\ENGINEERING DIVISION\Public Works- Traffic Commission\minutes\2008\Minutes 5-14-08.doc
