Mr. Paterson explained that Traffic Commission role is to present recommendations to the Council, since
all the audience was adamantly oppose to the proposal. Mr. Wagner clarified that this is just a proposal,
nothing has been decided.

Mr. Patterson requested that all the people present, express their opinion as an open forum.

Then audience started to provide reasons why this proposal needs to be denied. Reasons can
summarize as follows:

1- Undesirable increase of traffic along Lindell Blvd to avoid traffic on Forsyth Blvd, during peak
hours.
2- Patrons leaving Krueger's and other establishments that serve alcohol, will be inclined to travel
up Lindell Blvd, a less policed area than Forsyth Blvd, and if leaving the establishment under the
influence, this will cause more accidents and waking people late at night
3- Safety concern for families and children in the neighborhood.

And suggestions as follows:

1- Leave traffic configuration as it currently is, and allow parking lot access through the 120 ft two-
way on Lindell Blvd.
2- Additional signage on existing traffic pattern.
3- A three way stop sign at Lindell Blvd and Forsyth Blvd.
4- Erect a traffic signal at intersection of Lindell Blvd and Forsyth Blvd

The commissioners voted unanimously for this request to be denied and for the traffic pattern to stay the
way it currently is.

2. Speed control on Drexel Dr and Wilson Ave.

Present was Holly Tasker, resident at 7466 Drexel Dr. and explained her request to improve speed
control on Drexel Dr (between Hanley Rd and Wilson Ave) and Wilson Rd (between Midland Ave and
Shaftsbury Ave).

Mrs. Tasker stated that many people use Drexel Dr. and Wilson Ave as a way to avoid Olive Blvd,
between Hanley Rd and Midland Blvd. Cars are often traveling very fast, especially as there is no stop
sign at Drexel and Hanley, or any other indication to reduce speed. Because there are no sidewalks on
Drexel, it often seems dangerous for children to play in the front yards.

Public Works will install two (2) Speed limit signs on Drexel Dr at Wilson Ave and at Hanley Rd. and two
(2) Speed limit signs on Wilson Ave. in the month of June 2008.

Mrs. Tasker requested the following:

. A sign posting speed limit on Drexel Dr.
. Speed trailer on Drexel Dr. - recommended
. Speed bumps on Drexel Dr. and Wilson Ave. - not approved by the City due to damage that
they cause to emergency vehicles.
. Stop sign at Drexel Dr. at Wilson Ave. - not recommended to control speed of vehicles.

Sgt. King provided the accident report for this intersection and the results are the following:

Speed trailer was located at 7466 Drexel Dr between 6/4/08 and 6/07/08; 959 vehicles traveled east on
Drexel Dr.

Minutes - June 11, 2008
V:I WPSl IENGINEERING DIVISIONIPublic Works- Traffic Commissionlminutesl20081Minutes 6-11-08.doc

Page 2
