The commissioners voted unanimously for the installation of the speed limit signs, and for Mrs. Tasker to contact City of University City, Public Works after 1 or 2 months if problem persist on Drexel Dr and Wilson Ave. 3. King presented the accident report at this intersection and started looking for accidents that occurred on 7-1-05 to the present. Here are the results: On 12-9-05 Vehicle # 1 was northbound on Kingsland at Washington. Vehicle # 2 was southbound. Vehicle # 2 slowed and began to turn left in front of Vehicle # 1. Vehicle # 1 took evasive action by swerving slightly around Vehicle # 2's expected path. Vehicle # 1 skidded on slush and struck Vehicle # 3 which was parked on the side of the road. Vehicle # 2 thus failed to yield. Vehicle # 1 may have been driving too fast for conditions (slush on the road). Report 05-43015. On 7-25-07 Vehicle # 1 was northbound on Kingsland at Washington. Vehicle # 1 had the right of way since there are stop signs for Washington at Kingsland but not on Kingsland north and southbound. Vehicle # 2 stopped for the stop sign on eastbound Washington but drove into the intersection in front of Vehicle # 1. Vehicle # 1 hit Vehicle # 2. Report 07-26657. On 2-11-08 Vehicle # 1 was southbound on Kingsland. Vehicle # 1 made a left turn in the intersection with Washington, failing to yield to Vehicle # 2 which was northbound on Kingsland. Vehicle # 1 hit Vehicle # 2. Report 08-5719. Mrs. Gutierrez explained that a four-way stop sign will be furnish and install if 5 or more right and left turns collisions have occurred during the last 12 months. According with results provided by Sgt. King, a four way stop is not necessary, but an intersection warning sign can be furnish and installed by the Public Work Dpt.
