Residents requested a discussion on the Non Action Item which <br />was the request to remove existing parking restrictions on the south side of Forsyth be discussed, as well. <br /> <br />1. Request to remove parking restriction on south side of Forsyth Blvd from Big Bend Blvd to Asbury <br />Ave. <br /> <br />Commissioner Paterson explained that this is a non action item on this agenda. The Traffic Commissioners <br />rd <br />understand that this item was revised by the City Council on March 23 while discussing the implementation of <br />the residential parking permit system on the north side of Forsyth. The Traffic Commission will review the <br />removal of the parking restriction on the south side of Forsyth in a future meeting for their recommendation to <br />be implemented once the new I-64 is completed. <br /> <br />rd <br />Ms. Tapia stated that on March 23 the City Council passed the Residential Parking Permit System on the <br />north side of Forsyth with two (2) caveats. First, it should be implemented after highway 40 reopens in <br />December 31, 2009 and second, the City Attorney should review the legality of the petition. <br /> <br />Councilmember Wagner reiterated that the petition was approved with two (2) conditions: <br /> <br /> Upon completion and opening of Highway 40, and <br /> <br /> Contingent on the City Attorney review and approval. <br />Minutes – April 8, 2009 Page <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
