2. Request to install a “No Parking” sign at the vacated alley behind 1064 North and South Dr.

Mr. Peter Newton, owner of 7572 Drexel (property adjacent to the alley) was present and provided a
letter to each member of the commission describing the background history of this issue. The alley in
question was legally vacated to the adjacent property owners in 1994 and therefore, it is considered
private property.

It was recommended by the Chairman that this matter not be discussed because it does not fall under
Traffic Commission’s jurisdiction.

3. Request to adjust eastbound and westbound traffic lights on Olive Blvd at Kingsland.

Attallah Sinclair, resident at 6730 Bartmer Ave was present at the meeting requesting a traffic light
adjustment to the eastbound and westbound traffic on Olive Blvd at Kingsland Ave.

It was the Traffic Commission’s recommendation to forward this request to the St.Louis County –
Department of Highways &.Traffic for consideration since Olive at this location is a county arterial.
This motion was unanimously approved.

4. Liberty Ave – FYI

Mr. Marc Kramer, legal representative of the Village of Vinita Terrace questioned the location of the
“no thru traffic” sign. He stated the location is ineffective because it is in the middle of the block. The
sign was installed within the limits of University City. Approval of the Village of Vinita Terrace would
be required to install the sign on their City’s right-of-way. Mr. Kramer was not present to resolve this
issue, therefore it was not discussed.

The Public Works Department will be in communications with Vinita Terrace for the additional sign to
be installed on Page since it is not University City’s Jurisdiction.

5.
