<br /> <br /> <br />MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY HALL <br /> <br />6801 Delmar Blvd. <br />City of University City, Missouri 63130 <br />MAY 09, 2011 <br /> <br />6:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />At the Regular Session of the City Council of University City held on the fifth floor of City Hall, <br />on Monday, May 09, 2011. Mayor Shelley Welsch called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. In <br />addition to Mayor Welsch, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br /> Mr. Byron Price <br /> Ms. Lynn Ricci <br /> Mr. Stephen Kraft <br /> Mr. Terry Crow <br /> Mr. Michael Glickert <br /> Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also in attendance was City Manager Lehman Walker <br /> <br />C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Mr. Walker asked to pull Bill 9112 for further study. Mr. Glickert moved to postpone Bill <br />9112 until May 23 Council meeting, seconded by Mr. Crow and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />D. PROCLAMATIONS <br />National Kids to Parks’ Day was read by Mayor Welsch. <br /> <br />E. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. <br />April 25, 2011, study session minutes were moved for approval by Ms. Ricci, <br />seconded by Mr. Sharpe and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />2. <br />April 25, 2011, minutes from the Regular City Council Session were moved for <br />approval by Ms. Ricci, and were seconded by Mr. Sharpe. <br /> <br /> Mr. Glickert added a correction on E-2-1 from Mr. Terry Kraft to Mr. Terry Crow. <br /> Minutes as amended were approved unanimously. <br /> <br />F. APPOINTMENTS <br />1. <br />Robert Preston was nominated to the I.D.A. by Mayor Welsch, seconded by Ms. <br />Ricci and carried unanimously. <br />2. <br />Robert Gadd was nominated to the I.D.A. by Mayor Welsch, seconded by Ms. Ricci <br />and carried unanimously. <br /> <br />G. SWEARING IN <br /> <br />H. CITIZEN PARTICIPATION (Total of 15 minutes allowed) <br />Larry Mass, 8131 Balson Ave <br />Mr. Mass addressed the issue of lights on Ruth Park driving range. He said twenty-five <br />percent of building the driving range cost was for lighting and now the lighting not being <br /> <br /> <br />
