Session 1707, Minutes <br />October 6, 1997 <br /> <br />The Mayor announced that Mr. Sharpe's swearing-in ceremony was scheduled for the <br />regular meeting of October 13, 1997. <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORTS: <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR (1 ITEM) <br /> <br /># 1 - Concrete Repairs to Transfer Station & Material Recovery Facility at Municipal <br />Garage Complex: The tabulation of bid proposals for the above named project is as <br />follows: <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />TOTAL <br /> <br />R. C. Schneider & <br />Associates Inc. for their low bid of $54,308.75. <br /> <br />Mr. Munkel moved approval. Mr. $choomer seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Responding to Mr. Wagner, Mr. Ollendorff said that the transfer station has a concrete <br />ramp going up to the second story of the recycling area. The concrete ramp, wall and <br />deck have eroded. The contractor will chip the existing outer layers of concrete and <br />then rebuilding these items. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked if the station would be out of service during this work. Mr. Ollendorff <br />said that they were planning to do most of the work mostly during weekends, which <br />accounts for the higher costs of the project. They could not afford to close it down. <br /> <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
