He reported that the Library Board
would be losing several board members over the next few months due to term limits and
urged the Council 1~o keep this in mind and to appoint promptly, so the Board does not fall
under quorum. The HVAC work is nearly complete. The Library is working with several
other municipal libraries as a group to provide any book you're looking for. If this library
does not have what you are looking for, then it will be found for you. The recently awarded
Microsoft Corporation Grant will help bring the library up to standard with more computer
equipment. The Library Board wishes the School Board to know that they encourage
students to use the computers for their homework, however there just is not enough
computers to service every child who needs them. They would hope that the School Board
would consider keeping schools open after school, so the kids can use their computers, as
well. This Thursda¢, the 15th at 7:00 p.m., will be the dedication of the new room, which
has a real tree in it.

Mr. Wagner, Liaison to the Plan Commission, said that at the last meeting they dealt with
three of the items that were dealt with tonight: The resubdivision of the condominium at
7373 Pershing, the Medve Group replatting and the 24 hr. drive-thru request. There were
many negative comments from the local residents against the 24 hr. drive thru. The
Commission was al.,;o negative, because the request was not a part of the original
application. The otller major item is reviewing the draft of the comprehensive plan. A
video is being made to help the commission study and review the plan.

8
