Downtown Revitalization Economic
Assistance for Missouri provides designated communities with access to an array of
state programs and technical assistance that can assist with business development,
historic preservation, public infrastructure, fac;ade renovation, and housing
development. Six to ten communities will be selected for the initiative.

Staff has prepared an application to the program targeting the revitalization of Olive
Boulevard. A resolution from the City authorizing the application and describing local
commitment must be submitted with the application. Attached is a draft resolution.

The application must be received by the State no later than August 1, 2006. Staff would
like to submit the application as soon as possible and is seeking Council approval of the
resolution at its July 10, 2006 meeting.

Also attached is the application (without attachments) for Mayor Adams' signature, and
additional information about the program.
