Session 1706, Minutes 9
September 22, 1997

Mayor Adams said that he thought that they were looking at the possibility of putting up
a windmill. Mr. Ollendorff said that this would allow for towers to be built within a half
a dozen very restricted areas of the City, and only then if they meet a lot of requirements
and get a special permit from the City Council.

Mr. Lieherman asked the City Manager how this ordinance would effect the school
board's decision regarding the proposed tower that they wanted to put on top of the high
school. Mr. Ollendorff said that some portions of the high school property would be
eligible. If the applicant made a deal with the school district, then it would have to
come before the City Council for a permit. It is possible to build a tower that meets all
of these new regulations on the high school property, including a disguised tower.

The roll call vote went as follows: AYES: Mr. Schoomer, Mr. Ware, Mr. Munkel, Mr.
Lieberman, Mayor Adams NAYS: none. Bill No. 8351 became Ordinance No. 6132.

BILLS FOR INTRODUCTION:

A bill was introduced by Mr. Schoomer, entitled:

AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PORTION OF LOOP NORTH IN
THE DELMAR GARDEN SUBDIVISION IN UNIVERSITY CITY, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC
UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND DIRECTING THAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN
THE OFFICE OF THE RECORDER OF DEEDS OF ST.
