Session 1754 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE UNIVERSITY CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />April 26, 1999 <br /> <br />At a regular meetir,g of the City Council of University City held in the Council Chamber of <br />City Hall on Monday, April 26, 1999, Mayor Joseph L. Adams called the meeting to order <br />at 7:30 p.m. In addition to the Mayor, the following members of the Council were present: <br /> <br />Ms. Cassandra Colquitt <br />Mr. Wayne I. Munkel <br />Mr. Robert Wagner <br />Mr. Larry Lieberman <br />Mr. Paul Schoomer <br />Mr. Arthur Sharpe, Jr. <br /> <br />Also present was City Manager Frank Ollendorff. <br /> <br />MINUTES: <br /> <br />Mr. Wagner asked that "Ms. Wagner" be changed to "Mr. Wagner" on the first page of the <br />April 12, 1999 minutes. Mr. Wagner then moved approval of the April 12, 1999 minutes, <br />as amended. Mr. Munkel seconded the motion, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS: <br /> <br />Mr. Sharpe moved the appointment of Ms. Gwendolyn Gaines Beckwith, 7024 Arcadia, to <br />the Library Board of Trustees for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2000. Mr. Schoomer <br />seconded the approval, which carried unanimously. <br /> <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br /> <br />The City Clerk adm nistered the oath of office to Ms. Joanne Zach: Arts and Letters <br />Commission. <br /> <br />The Mayor thanked Ms. Zach for her willingness to serve her community on this important <br />board. He said that the Arts and Letters Commission was a fun group to be part of. <br /> <br /> <br />
