Session 1754 <br />April 26, 1999 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.64 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE, <br />RELATING TO THE NON-UNIFORMED EMPLOYEES RETIREMENT SYSTEM, BY <br />REPEALINC-', SECTION 2.644.120 THEREOF, RELATING TO BENEFITS OTHER <br />THAN ON RETIREMENT, AND ENACTING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION <br />KNOWN AS "SECTION 2.64.120 BENEFITS OTHER THAN ON RETIREMENT," <br />THEREBY AMENDING SAID SECTION SO AS TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF <br />DEATH BENEFITS PAYABLE TO CERTAIN SURVIVORS OF EMPLOYEES WHO DIE <br />ON OR AFTER THEIR EARLY SERVICE RETIREMENT DATE BUT PRIOR TO THEIR <br />NORMAL SERVICE RETIREMENT DATE AND HAVE ACCUMULATED <br />CONTRIBUTIONS IN AN AMOUNT WHICH IS LESS THAN ONE HUNDRED (100) <br />PERCENT OF THEIR FINAL AVERAGE COMPENSATION. <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned bill #8420. <br /> <br />2. A bill was introduced by Mr. Munkel, entitled: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND SURRENDERING A PUBLIC WALKWAY RIGHT- <br />OF-WAY FROM CHAMBERLAIN AVENUE TO BARTMER AVENUE, IMMEDIATELY <br />NORTH OF 66TM STREET, BUT RESERVING PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS, AND <br />DIRECTING !'HAT THIS ORDINANCE BE RECORDED IN THE OFFICE OF THE <br />RECORDER '3F DEEDS OF ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MISSOURI <br /> <br />The bill was given its first reading and assigned #8421. <br /> <br />Mr. Schoomer said that it was his understanding that one of the adjoining owners had <br />some reservations and he wanted to find out if they had been satisfied.
