Prior to the meeting, we recommend that you visit the site(s). Please call <br />(314) 505-8568 or email agutierrez@ucitymo.org to confirm your attendance. <br /> <br />AGENDA FOR THE MEETING <br /> <br />Approval of Minutes June 8, 2011 <br />1. <br /> <br />2. Request for Speed Control on Warder Avenue between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. <br /> <br />Please find attached traffic request form submitted on June 13, 2011 by <br />Linda Shaw, resident at 846 Warder Avenue, requesting posting of signs <br />25 <br />warning drivers about pedestrian activity or children playing. The location of <br />the request is Warder Ave between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. <br />Ms. Shaw is concerned about traffic and vehicles speed on Warder Ave, <br />where slopes and grades change between Delmar Blvd and Blackberry <br />Avenue. <br /> <br />Speed records have been requested to the Police Department and will be <br />presented at the meeting. <br /> <br />The Public Works Department recommends the following for increasing <br />motorist awareness of the permanent traffic control devices on Warder Ave. <br />from Delmar Blvd. to Blackberry Ave. <br /> <br /> <br /> Replace the current speed limit signs with new retro-reflective <br />speed limit signs at each end of the section of Warder Ave between <br />Delmar Blvd and Blackberry Avenue. <br />25 <br /> <br /> Install two (2) new retro-reflective speed limit signs near Cornell <br />Avenue intersection (one in each direction). <br /> <br /> Install two (2) new retro-reflective speed limit signs near Balson <br />Avenue intersection (one in each direction). <br /> <br /> Replace existing stop signs with new retro-reflective stop signs at the intersections of Warder <br />Ave with Gannon Ave, Cornell Ave and Stanford Ave. <br /> <br />If the data collected indicates that over 20% of the vehicles are driving in excess of the posted speed <br />limit, then this section of Warder Ave. will be further evaluated for speed control. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />www.ucitymo.org 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
